 12 July 2009 - Another pumpkin plant - this one on black plastic. Black plastic keeps the warmth of the sun trapped beneath it, and the plant likes that. We are also irrigating with a soaker hose that is run under the black plastic. It prevents the water from evaporating and goes to the plan roots. The plasic also inhibits weed growth. |
