March 2008 - Farmer Ben has planted about 900 new peach trees. These trees will take about 3 years to reach maturity and bear fruit, so have patience. Look at the base of this little tree. It actually shows the graft where the good root stock has been grafted onto the good tree stock. This hybrid tree produces wonderful peaches, but it does make the tree too weak for rough handling - like climbing. Please do NOT climb our peach, apple or cherry trees. They are hybrids and not strong enough.
