 9 September 2007 - This field has already been harvested. Large machines called Combines come through each field. The term Combine comes from 'combination' because this one machine can pick the corn, remove the shucks and put them in a truck that follows behind it, as well as cut down and chop up the cornstalks - all in one pass. |
