 9 September 2007 - To change to acidity of the soil, Farmer Ben purchased tons of sifted Leaf Mulch (the darker stuff on the right). The lighter pile is shreded wood. Wood and leaves are high in acid, and will help lightened up the clay-heavy soil on the farm. The lighter wood mulch will be the top cover. The darker mulch will be plowed into the soil. |
