June 2006 - See the small green Ornamental Corn plants? Why are they surrounded by all the yellow straw-like stuff? Well that "stuff" is Ground Cover (Rye), whose roots help hold the ground in place during hard rains. This type of planting of corn is called No-Till Corn. You don't plow the ground - which makes it vulnerable to errosion.
