12 June 2005 - Look closely at the rows of tomatoes. The dirt is slightly elevated, and the dirt is piled on top of the edges of the black plastic. If the wind gets under the plastic, it can roll the plastic right off of the rows. Then we have a mess! The slightly elevated rows keep the tomato plants from having wet feet. |
