 Late August 2003 - Hay and straw are cut, dried and machined into these 1-ton rolls. They may be fun to play on, but their main purpose will be to mulch and protect the strawberries and other permanent plants during the cold temperatures in the winter to come. Farmers must always plan ahead. |
